The Showcase Awards celebrate excellent teaching and leadership practices in Queensland state schools, in early, primary and secondary education, rural and remote schooling, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education, inclusive education, parent and community involvement, among others.
We were announced as the State Winner for our Attitude to Learning submission for the QSuper Showcase Award for Excellence in the Secondary Years .
The culture of the school has been significantly transformed by implementing the Attitude to Learning (ATL) framework, which places a strong emphasis on respect, explicit teaching practices, positive acknowledgement and early intervention.
ATL acknowledges the learning process over academic outcomes, actively changing the school cultures to produce effective and engaging learning environments.
